The Atlantic reports on how the Internet may be saving, not destroying book reviews. “In the digital age, websites and other online publications will expand the scope and influence of book reviews and might encourage more creative criticism. Hyperlinks will allow web reviewers to educate readers about and connect them to literature and culture.”
Is a book still a book? ZDNet writes a brief piece, asking “Is it time for a new term for e-books? Or do we continue to lump both print and electronic versions of published works into the same category, even though they are becoming two different beasts?”
Harry Potter coming to the Kindle. According to Forbes, “Amazon announced today that the entire Harry Potter saga will be available for free for all Prime subscribers in the Kindle Lending Library. Prime members will be able to ‘check out’ a digital copy of the Potter books for their Kindle devices.”
